Just found the obituary of my great-great-aunt Mary Weinhold nee Stick! No wonder my mother had never heard of her; Mary died in 1934 at the age of 27. Poor woman... and she left three children behind, even so. I had only known about her as a result of a "Mary E. Stick" listed in a census as having been born around 1907. Now, according to her obituary (which mentions my great-great-grandparents as her parents and my great-grandmother as her sister), she was born about 28 February 1907 and died 17 May 1934. When I'm back in the area, I'll have to see about tracking down her tombstone, since the obituary tells me she was buried in the cemetery adjoining Muddy Creek Reformed Church.
